From the Desk of Judi!

This week's topic is:

FOOD CHAINS & FOOD WEBS

What is the difference between a food chain and a food web?

FOOD CHAINS follow an single path taken as different creatures eat each other for energy and FOOD WEBS explore how all life is interconnected.

Some sites to help in this effort:

Note: Instead of copying and pasting these links into your browser, simply go to www.eduhound.com/mainpage.cfm and select our "Science" category.

Good Luck!

EduHound Spotlight Site of the Week!

In honor of Food Chains & Food Webs, this week's featured site is:

Create a Food Web
http://www.vtaide.com/png/foodweb.htm

A food web is made up of two or more interconnected food chains. It shows the food relationships among organisms in a community. Click and drag the animals and arrows to form a possible food web. Arrows should be drawn from food source to food consumers. At the end of this activity, you can discard excess pictures into the Recycle Bin and then right-click to print your food web.

Good Luck!
