Notch was wild born in 1971 and was placed in captivity in 1974 at Kings Island in Ohio. She was there until they closed down the animal park and came to The Wilds in 1994. Half-Ear was also wild born in 1971, transported to Kings Island in 1974, and then to The Wilds in 1994. She has been with Notch her entire time in captivity. Both Notch and Half-Ear weigh around 4,500 pounds. They get a little grumpy in the Ohio winters, but should do well in the warmer Arizona climate. Enjoy! Each week, I'll use this area to answer your questions, post announcements, and provide interesting input! So please email me at EduHoundWeekly@eduhound.com and watch for your answer here!
