WELCOME to the 59th
Issue of EduHound Weekly!
From the Desk of Judi!WELCOME BACK! We've spent the summer break creating a brand new EduHound main page, newsletter & working on several new and exciting offerings! BIG NEWS PART 1!!! http://www.eduhound.com/edumatch/main.html We've teamed with edumatch.com to bring you a revolutionary new way to buy educational software. In fact, now that edumatch is here, we think it's the only way to buy software that makes sense! You search for software based on your needs and get the information you need to integrate the software you buy into your curriculum. edumatch matches curriculum software from over 150 publishers to your state's curriculum standards, your teaching style, your students and your hardware. No more browsing though catalogs, reading ads or wondering what to with it arrives in your classroom. If, for example, you want software to teach the skill described in your state's third grade Math Standard 1:Number Sense, Strand 1.4, Substrand 1.4.3.... you'll find it on edumatch! If you want to narrow down your choices to software that that works in a single computer classroom, has adjustable difficulty levels, runs on a 5 year old pc (with no CD drive) and comes in a school edition with a teachers guide, no problem! You can purchase online or off, with a school purchase order, share your finds with your colleagues or create a requisition or quotation. edumatch offers so many ways to select software that you're bound to find innovative ways to integrate it into your curriculum. You'll get exactly what you need, not on what someone else thinks you'll want.

Ask Judi! This week's question comes from Nanci: "Judi, I am looking for a website that creates calendars for school. I need one that I can use to make a thirty day calendar that I can specify the dates." Absolutely, Nanci! I have included a few different calendar creation sites. Some require the purchasing of software, some you create and maintain from their site and some you create and print out. Note: If you have MS Word, check your templates as it may include the "calendar" application. Here are a few resources to get you started:
Enjoy! Each week, I'll use this area to answer questions that have been streaming in from YOU! As the saying goes, "If you have a question or comment, chances are that others have it too!" So please write us at EduHoundWeekly@eduhound.com and watch for your answer here!
