WELCOME to the 178th Issue of EduHound Weekly!

EduHound Weekly Archives at: http://www.eduhound.com/eduhoundweeklyarchives.cfm

From the Desk of Judi!

This week's topic is:

OCEAN LINERS

The world's largest and arguably most opulent ocean liner, the Queen Mary 2, steamed up the Hudson River to a royal welcome on Thursday, April 22, 2004 as it docked in New York for the first time. The Queen Mary 2 revives the name of the liner about half its size that debuted in New York on June 1, 1936.

Technology Counts 2004
http://www.edweek.org/sreports/tc04/

Global Links: Lessons from the World

The world outside the United States is rich with lessons about how technology can be used in schools. Technology Counts 2004—the seventh edition of Education Week’s annual report on educational technology—presents a groundbreaking overview of technology in schools around the world, examining data, lessons, and trends in North America, Asia, Europe, South America, Africa, and the Australia/Pacific region.

To enhance that global perspective, three Education Week writers also traveled to schools in Singapore, Iceland, and Canada—countries where technology is an important feature of the educational landscape—to get classroom-level views of what’s happening...

Good Luck!

Each week, I'll use this area to answer your questions, post announcements, and provide interesting input! So please email me at EduHoundWeekly@eduhound.com and watch for your answer here!
