This week's topic is:

BLACK HISTORY MONTH

February was chosen to celebrate Black History Month and African-American heritage because of the pioneers and institutions born in this month. Eubie Blake, W.E.B. Ask Judi!

This week's question comes from Jenny:

"Do you know where can I find Groundhog Day activities and crafts?"

Absolutely, Jenny

It all began on February 2nd, 1886 with a terse Paragraph in The Punxsutawney Spirit (the local newspaper): "Today is groundhog day and up to the time of going to press the beast has not seen its shadow."

The legendary first trek to Gobbler's Knob was reportedly made the following year, and the rest is a colorful history.

Here are some sites to get you started:

Enjoy!

Each week, I'll use this area to answer your questions, post announcements, and provide interesting input! So please email me at EduHoundWeekly@eduhound.com and watch for your answer here!
