Tech Tip :: MS WORD DRAWING OBJECT

Use these steps to insert a drawing object (such as an oval, rectangle, line, or AutoShape) in your Word document:

  • Click on the icon of the tool that represents the type of object you want to create, or select it from Insert > Picture > AutoShape from the file menu.
  • Click within your document at one corner of where you want the shape to appear.
  • Drag the mouse to the opposite corner for the object.
  • When you release the mouse button, the object appears in the document and you can manipulate it as needed.
